Importing Data to Other Employee Files

Where there is a one to many relationship for the information you are importing (i.e. where the employee may have several records, such as AbsencesEmployment History, etc.), you may have more than one record for each employee, and therefore have more than one row for each employee in your import file.

E.g. If there are three rows for employee 18 –

If you are using the Authorisation Centre to make bulk amendments, you will also need to include the SEQ_ID from the record you wish to amend. You will need a column for SEQ_ID. To do this you will need to export a query with the key columns.

If you are simply importing the data for the first time, you do not need a column SEQ_ID. (Note: The import routine will assign a SEQ_ID to your new record).
