Use this tab to create and maintain the scale values for the scale points.
Scale values are associated with a salary review date. You can create the salary review dates displayed in the Review Date drop-down list by using Personnel > Terms and Conditions > Salary Review Date.
To view or amend the scale values for a specific review date, select the salary review date from the Review Date drop-down list.
To specify a scale point value, select the scale point in the list, type a value in the field labelled with the scale point row number (for example, if you select the scale point in row 1 in the list, 1 is the label for the field), and click OK to save the value for the scale point. You can upgrade scale values by using the Uplift Salary Scales wizard, and you can apply the increased salaries to employees by using the Apply Grade Changes wizard in the Personnel or Payroll module (or HR Record > Employment > Apply Grade).
When you define a salary subgrade definition that refers to a harmonized scale, you use the minimum and maximum salary point fields on the Salary Grade tab to define the minimum and maximum salary points on the harmonized scale. In this case, this tab is not used for the scale values in the salary subgrade definition.
Select the salary review date from the drop-down list.
You can set up the review dates displayed in the drop-down list by using Personnel > Terms and Conditions > Salary Review Date.
