Ideally, a vacancy should be based on an activity.  Basing the vacancy on an activity pre-populates the vacancy with much information, providing the information is recorded in the activity, such as department, location, payroll category, and grade.

This Vacancies option within the Recuitment module enables you to manage the processes of creating a vacancy within the organization and to ultimately appoint a candidate to a position. You are able to create a vacancy, record the candidate’s biographical details, and progress each candidate through the recruitment process. A candidate can be invited to attend an interview or be rejected, and any recruitment stage can generate a letter with the candidate details. Interview information can be created and finally a candidate can be appointed to the vacancy and all the biographical and vacancy details are transferred to create a new HR record for the employee.
